Voice note transcription for lawyers and client work
Your clients send voice notes. You cannot paste them into a free AI app. InkSaid turns them into text on your own Mac, keeps them filed by client, and never sends them to our servers.
Why the free apps are a problem for you
ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and the WhatsApp transcription bots all work the same way. The audio goes to their servers, is processed there, and the words stay in a chat on their service. For a personal note that is fine. For a client's instructions, a patient's update or a source's account, it is a disclosure you did not need to make.
How InkSaid is different
- Transcribed on your Mac. The speech engine runs on your own computer. The audio never leaves it.
- Kept on your Mac. On Pro, every transcript goes into a private archive on your own computer, filed by person and chat. Never on our servers.
- Audio deleted. The audio is deleted once the words appear, unless it is part of a chat you imported on purpose.
- Delete anything, any time. One note, one chat, or everything.
- No account with anyone else. You never sign up to a transcription service. There is nothing to configure.
Built for a record
Lawyers and investigators often receive a whole WhatsApp conversation as evidence, full of voice notes. InkSaid imports the exported chat, transcribes every note in place, links each line to the original audio, and records a SHA-256 fingerprint of the zip and every audio file. You get one readable record and a clean PDF, made on your own machine.
When something does leave your Mac
We would rather you knew exactly. Three things can send words off your Mac, and each one is your choice:
- Cloud minutes, for forwarding bots and devices that cannot run the engine.
- AI summaries and reply drafts, when they run in the cloud.
- Asking an AI assistant about your notes, such as Claude, which reads the notes it needs to answer you.
The Local only switch, coming to founding members, turns all three off with one tap, so nothing ever leaves the Mac.
