Why InkSaid

Any app can transcribe a voice note. InkSaid remembers all of them.

ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok will turn one note into text for free. That was never the hard part. The hard part is finding what was said, by whom, three weeks later, without handing your conversations to anyone.

It remembers

Other appsA chat app transcribes one note and loses it in a thread.

InkSaidInkSaid keeps every voice note on your Mac, filed by person and chat, so you can find what anyone told you months later.

It stays private

Other appsA note shared to an AI app goes to that company's servers.

InkSaidInkSaid transcribes on your own Mac. Audio and words never touch our servers.

It works without a tap

Other appsShare, pick an app, wait, scroll past the commentary. Every single time.

InkSaidSave it, AirDrop it or share it once. The words are ready before you open the chat.

It acts on what was said

Other appsYou get the words, and nothing else.

InkSaidA daily digest of every note, the promises and dates pulled out, reply drafts and translation.

It stands up as a record

Other appsA transcript in a chat thread proves nothing.

InkSaidOn Business, every transcript is timestamped, fingerprinted and exportable, with who said it.

How it works

Press play on either device.

Both demos run on a sample voice note written for this page. The engine, the deleting and the copy buttons work today. Summaries, replies and the record of promises reach founding members first.

Getting notes in

Four ways in, from any chat app.

The share button works everywhere. The forwarding routes are quicker but travel through a server, so their cards say so.

Save it on your Mac

Save the note in WhatsApp, Signal or Telegram on your Mac, or AirDrop it from your iPhone. InkSaid picks it up from Downloads on its own.

Hold the note in WhatsApp, Signal or Telegram, tap Share, then InkSaid. On your Mac's wifi it goes straight there. Anywhere else it travels through your own iCloud Drive.

Where your words go

Private by default. Cloud only when you choose it.

Private

Your Mac→InkSaid engine on your Mac→Text on screen
  • The audio never leaves the computer.
  • The copy is deleted the moment the words appear.
  • Cards vanish when you close the window, unless you turn on keeping.
  • No account needed for the private engine.
  • Away from your wifi, iPhone notes can travel through your own iCloud Drive, never our servers. You can switch that off.

Cloud

Your phone or PC→InkSaid server, EU→Text back to you
  • Used for forwarding bots and devices that cannot run the engine.
  • The real file name never leaves your device.
  • Transcripts are erased from the service as soon as they come back.
  • Every card shows which route it took.

Questions

The short answers.

Does my audio leave my computer?

Not in private mode. InkSaid transcribes on your Mac, and the audio is deleted once the words appear. Every transcript shows a label saying where it was processed.

Does my iPhone need to be on the same wifi as my Mac?

No. On the same wifi, the note goes straight to your Mac and the words come back in seconds. Anywhere else, it travels through your own iCloud Drive, your Mac transcribes it once it arrives, and the words wait in Files, InkSaid, Words. Your Mac needs to be on with InkSaid open.

What about notes I send from my iPhone while I am out?

They travel through your own iCloud Drive, in your Apple account, not ours. We never see them. Apple encrypts them end to end only if you have turned on Advanced Data Protection. Your Mac deletes the audio once it is transcribed, and you can switch this route off to keep every note on your own wifi.

Do you keep my transcripts?

Never on our servers. On Free, the words disappear when you close InkSaid. On Pro, every transcript is kept in a private archive on your own Mac, filed by person and chat, and you can delete any of it at any time.

Do you train AI on my notes?

No. Never.

Which devices does it work on?

Mac computers with Apple chips (M1 or newer) today, with the iPhone share button. The iPhone app and Windows are coming. Founding members get them first.

Which apps does it work with?

Any app that lets you save or share a voice note: WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Signal, Telegram, iMessage and more.

Which languages?

99 languages, including English, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish and Arabic. InkSaid works out the language by itself.

ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok can transcribe a voice note. Why InkSaid?

They transcribe one note at a time, on their own servers, and the words stay in a chat thread. InkSaid transcribes on your Mac, picks notes up on its own, and on Pro keeps every one in a private archive filed by person, so you can find what anyone told you months later. It also gives you a daily digest and pulls out the promises and dates.

WhatsApp already transcribes voice notes. Why InkSaid?

WhatsApp's own transcripts work one note at a time inside WhatsApp and do nothing with the text. InkSaid works across all your chat apps, keeps one thread per person, finds anything you've been told, drafts replies and tracks who promised what.

Is it suitable for confidential work?

Yes. Transcription and your archive stay on your own Mac, which is what most security teams ask for, and the Local only switch, coming to founding members, stops anything leaving at all. Business plans add a deletion log and a data processing agreement. Check your own professional rules on recording and storing conversations.

Can I import a whole WhatsApp chat?

Yes, on Pro. Export the chat with its media, drop the zip into InkSaid, and every voice note is transcribed on your Mac and put back where it was sent, with who said it and when. You get one record you can search and save as a PDF.

Can Claude or ChatGPT read my notes?

Only if you connect them. InkSaid connects to the Claude app on your Mac in one click, and Claude reads the notes it needs to answer you. ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok come next. Nothing is shared until you switch it on.

What is Founding Pro?

The full Pro plan for $39 a year instead of $79, for the first 99 members only. That saves $40 a year. The price stays locked for as long as you stay a member. If you cancel, the seat goes back.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new account gets Pro free for 14 days, with no card. After that you keep the Free plan unless you choose to pay. Your archive stays on your Mac, and you can still open and export it. Nothing is charged automatically.

Can I pay with crypto?

Yes, for annual plans, with 10% off. We take Bitcoin, including Lightning.
